The safeguarding adults course is a practical training course for those who work in the social care sector or who have a responsibility in caring for vulnerable adults. It covers key safeguarding procedures, the types of abuse and neglect, how to report your concerns regarding the abuse of vulnerable adults, and key legislation.
Anyone with the duty of care responsibilities must have an awareness of adult safeguarding practices and the fundamental principles of The Care Act 2014. Through this course, you will explore the rights of vulnerable adults, your legal responsibilities, as well as the fundamental laws that concern adult safeguarding.
You will learn what to do if you suspect a victim of abuse, the steps to report your concerns, how to recognise the signs of abuse and the measures that must be taken to ensure a safe environment for all adults under your care and supervision.
