In module five, we will gain in-depth knowledge of how a capacitor stores charge and the energy density of electric fields. What’s more, we’ll explore the factorsaffecting capacitance and the voltage rating of a capacitor.
In module six, we will explore the types of electrical tools and equipment, familiarising with safety regulations and standards. It includes step-by-step guidance on how to use power tools safely.
In module seven, we will deepen our understanding voltage, currents and power lines, exploring the different types of electrical incidents and what to do in the case of electrical shock.
In module eight, we will famliarise with the risk assessment process, including the factors to consider during a risk assessment and who should perform one. It covers PAT testing and issues when planning PATs.
In module nine, we will develop our understanding of the different types of equipment and how to inspect them in compliance with safety regulations. We will also learn about fire safety risk and emergency procedures.
In module ten, we will explore the different classes of equipment, learning methods for protecting against electric shock. It provides practical guidance on the earth leakage test and the touch current test,
In module eleven, we will learn about the different types of portable electrical appliances exploring the PAT test process in detail and who should conduct the test. It provides essential information on different safety Acts and legal measures.
In module twelve, we will learn more about the risk assessment procedure and will explore the factors to consider during risk assessment. It covers operatives’ obligations during risk assessments, as well as the role of RIDDOR.
In module thirteen, we will gain an understanding of the kinds of things we should look for when carrying out a visual inspection. It includes tips on how to reduce risk of fire and the principles of fire safety management.
